I read some interesting news today for smokers and non-smokers alike. Westin Hotels & Resorts has decided to ban smoking in all of its 77 hotels throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. This comes as good news to some 92% of the hotels clients who request non-smoking rooms. Even smokers agree it’s nice to get a room that doesn’t reek of stale smoke. This cutting-edge decision marks the first hotel chain to ban smoking in the U.S. and will most likely spur a trend throughout the hotel industry. However, don’t fret if you’re smoker! You can still smoke outside on your balcony or in any of the hotels’ outside areas.
