So CNN came out with their top travel picks for 2006 and they look so, how should we say this, 2005. Croatia? Com'on now. Don't they read our blog? Croatia is about as trendy as the French Riviera. If you want to go somewhere cool why not head to Belgrade. Or Warsaw. Or even Kiev. The other destinations on the list read like a who's who of boring geriatric travel. Other than China perhaps, you've got place like Colorado, Arizona, and Mexico on the list. Yawn. Did CNN use the Russel P. Sloan Home for Retired People in Clearwater, Florida to write this? If you're heading to Latin America why not Guatemala or Belize? Better yet head down to Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America. And it's cheaper than Uncle John's suit. Ski in Colorado? How passe. Why not Slovakia? It will cost you half as much, even w/ the flight included. Com'on CNN. You want people to remember their travel in 2006. Not want to forget it.
