The airframe was shipped, piece by piece, from San Jose airport to the hotel's location in the jungles of Manuel Antonio National Park. The aeroplane suite sits on a 50 foot pedestal and enjoys views over the ocean and jungle canopy.

ALBANY, N.Y. – When explorer Henry Hudson got as far north as he could go on the waterway that would later bear his name, he didn't stick around long or wander much beyond the riverbank.

"They did not venture far from shore," said William "Chip" Reynolds, captain of the Half Moon, a full-scale replica of the ship that Hudson, an Englishman, sailed for the Dutch during his 1609 voyage to the New World.

This is a tough one, whether to or not to charge larger passengers for two seats.  It seems fair that if you take up two seats, you need to pay for two seats, but do two seats cost as much as one business seat?  This action will probably spark outrage from many groups.  Read more here.

Squinting in the Nicaraguan sun, I found the goggles that had flown off my head during my tumble and shimmied over to my board, slowly slipping downhill all the while. I somehow regained my seated position on the board and immediately submitted again to gravity, zooming down, down, down, until I slid to a gentle stop amid applause from fellow boarders.

This was my introduction to volcano boarding, a young adventure activity that has popped up, most notably at Cerro Negro, an ominous charcoal-black volcano in western Nicaragua. Boarders hurtle down the active volcano’s bald, steep slope atop a sledlike piece of plywood, at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. It’s hot, dusty, a little scary — and crazy enough to be fun.

What to do: The consistently strong winds that blow near the beaches of Cabarete make the area one of the world's top destinations for aquatic sports. Wind surfers come out in force, but kiteboarding -- in which riders are propelled by an airborne kite, enabling sharp turns and jumps -- has grown more popular in recent years.
