Clearwater, Fla.-based JetAmerica said 34 nonstop passenger flights a week will start July 13 at Toledo, Ohio; South Bend, Ind.; Melbourne, Fla.; Newark, N.J.; Minneapolis and Lansing, Mich. Twenty-eight flights start or end at Newark Liberty International Airport. The carrier will add six more flights -- from Toledo to Minneapolis -- starting Aug. 14.

Barunga Festival is one of Australia's longest running Aboriginal festivals, located four hours away from Darwin.

Dubai, eat your heart out. With a mind-bending 100 new skyscrapers in the works, Moscow is threatening to trump the emirate’s superlative cityscape and establish itself as the 21st century’s pinnacle of luxury. Futuristic designs include the world’s first rotating high-rise, slated for completion in 2010 (Dubai is still waiting for planning permission), plus the world’s biggest building: starchitect Norman Foster’s $4 billion “Crystal Island” on the Moscow River is so massive, it’s going to need its own internal climate system (architectural detail pictured). This “city within a building” supposedly sees the light of day in 2012, by which time Foster’s other city project, Russia Tower, will have debuted as Europe’s tallest (and the world’s second tallest) building.

The junk was painstakingly built by an 80 year old craftsman and is known in Cantonese as Cheung Po Tsai. The eponymous Cheung Po Tsai was an infamous nineteenth century pirate who terrorised Hong Kong's waters. Passenger satisfaction with airline service rose 3.2 percent earlier this year, the first increase in six years, according to a University of Michigan study to be released Tuesday.

The increase came as the number of passengers dropped and airlines reduced flying. Also passengers checked fewer bags as luggage fees became more common, making it easier for airlines to keep track of the bags that remained. Enplanements on U.S. routes dropped 1.5 percent in 2008, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

I picked a two-week itinerary with a driver from Invicta Tour N Travel that would bring us through much of Rajasthan.
