If you travel with children, a child carrier is a must, particularly in less developed countries where roads and sidewalks are not stroller friendly. On a recent visit to Northeast Brazil, our carrier was a godsend since pushing a stroller over cobblestone or unpaved streets was a nightmare. The Post Gazette has some good reviews of carriers. Though I've never used it, I am intrigued by the Kelty backpack/stroller combo. My main hesitation though is the stroller part just doesn't look that comfortable for the child.
