Standing Room Only On Your Next Flight

Not content with packing us in like sardines, the airlines are looking at new seat designs that will let them pack 'em in like, well, chickens? Anchovies? Bunnies? I'm at a loss for metaphor here. Help. Please. From today's NY Times:

Airbus has been quietly pitching the standing-room-only option to Asian carriers, though none have agreed to it yet. Passengers in the standing section would be propped against a padded backboard, held in place with a harness, according to experts who have seen a proposal.

But even short of that option, carriers have been slipping another row or two of seats into coach by exploiting stronger, lighter materials developed by seat manufacturers that allow for slimmer seatbacks. The thinner seats theoretically could be used to give passengers more legroom but, in practice, the airlines have been keeping the amount of space between rows the same, to accommodate additional rows

How about more metaphors? Farm metaphor? "like Rows of corn" or Graveyard metaphor? "like vertical Crypts" or Train metaphor? "like Tokyo Commuters" Food metaphor? "like sliced bread" Ah, the new seat designs are the greatest invention since "sliced bread".

Airline executives who are thinking of new ways to cram us into airplanes (re:standing up) should be strapped into one of their own contraptions and be forced to fly around the world. No blanket, no pillow, no peanuts. Nothing. Oh, and they have to check their luggage.

I just came back from trip to India, I had an amazing time there and hats off to the travel Company who planned my itinerary, that allowed me to see most of India my allocated period of 3 weeks. In North India I covered Delhi - Shimla - Manali - Chandigarh - Delhi ,then we headed to South India where we visited Kerala & Trivandrum-Kovalam-Kumarakom-Thekkady-Munnar-Cochin . In East India we visted Calcutta - Darjeeling - Gangtok - Bhubhaneshwar - Puri and finally my trip ended in West India after taking a Grand Tour of Rajasthan .
