Three letters. T. S. A. The much maligned TSA has been taking it on the chin ever since the formation a few years back. While they are only seen as an obstacle to getting to the first class lounge and imbibing in free drinks, they are doing a job that no one, I repeat one one, would voluntarily choose to do. So they are an easy target:

WASHINGTON - A recent Tank McNamara comic strip featured two ex-Transportation Security Administration screeners working security at a Major League baseball stadium.

"I miss pawing ladies' underwear like I could when I was screenin' for the TSA," one says to the other.

It's nice to see that the screeners also have a sense of humour as well.

Screeners themselves maintain a Web site that collects cartoons, satirical articles and parody images and songs.

As travelers, we need every minute to get where we need to go, and while TSA only seems like a deterrent, cut them some slack. After all, would you want to look at X-Rays of curling irons and laptops for 8 hours a day?
