Much like the smokers before them, alcoholics are reacting with horror and outrage at the news that they may have to pay for their drinks on international airlines like BA and SAS. While U.S. airlines have been charging for a while, international airlines have been a safe haven for boozers. However, with this latest news, they're running stumbling scared. No longer able to drink themselves into oblivion on flights, they are already making emergency plans to horde airline liquor bottles for emergencies. "Look mate, I've been nipping these little bottles for months. I'm up to 1,212. I'm a veritable roving bar you see. Enough to tide me over for a couple of months or until my liver sclerosis makes it impractical to travel." The Wall Street Journal reports about this distressing news:

Last month, Scandinavian Airlines System started giving passengers in intercontinental economy just one free alcoholic drink, compared with the previous policy of unlimited booze.

Sad news for the alcoholics out there. And for Aussies and Brits, who are like alcoholics, but with better accents.
