Thursday, December 14. 2006United Considers "Bare" FaresUnited recently said that they're considering following Ryanair and EasyJet down the path of "Getting on the plane is cheap, flying is expensive" strategy by charging a low base fare for certain seats. Passengers flying these fares will not have pre-assigned seats, be eligible for frequent flyer miles, or be able to check baggage:
