American Airlines will test in-flight Wifi service in 2008

According to the statement released by American Airlines and AirCell, the airline will provide Wifi internet access to the American Airlines passengers on transcontinental flights starting in 2008. Those traveling with PDAs and laptops equipped with 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi will be able to connect for a fee to internet and send emails. The fee structure will be anounced when the service starts in 2008. The test will be conducted on selected Boeing 767-200 aircrafts and most likely available only on some selected flights.
