Friday, February 8. 2008The Sign of the End - Euros Being Taken in New York City for PaymentUsed to be that the greenback, the US Dollar was the de facto currency around the world. Anywhere, you flash the Benji, you get in, you pay, you do it. Unfortunately, the US Dollar has been not so strong as of late versus other world currencies, basically right now the USD to Euros is on par with the mightly ruble. Sigh* Anyway, NYC stores are taking Euros now, probably not so much because of the strength of the Euro, but just because every shop in Soho, Madison Ave has a Sven, Hans, Jean-Baptiste buying something in cash, more here via Yahoo!
