If you're going to San Francisco or live here, the Latino Film Festival will be heating things up over the next few weeks with films, events, and more. One of the world's largest festivals devoted to the Latin world of film, this year's festival features over 60 films from 20 countries. You shouldn't miss this if you're in the Bay Area. Some of the highlights this year:

• US Premiere of the 2005 Málaga Film Festival award-winning feature film Tapas, a slice-of-life comedy set in a Barcelona tapas bar. (DIR Jos Corbacho & Juan Cruz/Spain/2004).
• Northern California Premier of the anticipated musical Sueño (DIR Renee Chabria/USA/2005) starring John Leguizamo.
• Enjoy the sensual rhythms of Buenos Aires in the Tango Cabaret evening featuring "Tengo-Tango", a vignette of an evening in Buenos Aires with the US Premiere of Si sos un brujo: una historia de tango / If You‘re a Warlock: a Story of Tango.
• Noche Cubana: Return to the Cuba via exceptional Cuban and international cuisine, mojitos, and the extraordinary music of Rolando Morales and Danilo Paíz. Featuring an exhibition by renowned photographer Alberto Diaz "Korda" - including his iconic photograph of Che Guevara. Director Sandoval will have a conversation with the audience regarding this unique historical photo exhibition of original work by Korda.

In my humble opinion Suriya Thai Restaurant is the best Thai in San Francisco. The consistently crowded restaurant bears silent testimony as the eager diners stuff mouthful after mouthful of delectable Thai morsels into their mouths with nary a minute of rest to chat.© Everything on the menu is good and we’ve uploaded a Suriya Menu (Page 1 and 2) for those of you in San Francisco who want to order take away, and like us, have never found a menu online. If you’re visiting from outside of SF, be warned that Suriya is located on the quiet end of Valencia. But fear not, you have only to walk a few blocs back to 23rd and Valencia for the night life after dinner, or down to Mission where 26 Mix, El Rio, and Roccapulco lay a mere one block away.
