From the FareIndex, you can see that there is a dip in prices in the beginning and middle of December, then fares get super expensive for Christmas and NYE, then drop dramatically in January. Wednesday, November 23. 2005Best Fares from San Francisco to Europe. One Word - ExpensiveWow, what a difference a week makes, last week Frankfurt (FRA) was cheap, this week, almost 12% gain. Suddenly Maultaschen and Leberkaes don't sound so good. Also, looks like so many people are going to participate in the riots in Paris (PAR) that the fares have spiked significantly. Want Even Colder Temps?Ok, right now it's 70 degrees in SFO, not really an ideal time to leave since this is the time of year we cherish the most, however, fares have dropped, most markedly to Moscow (MOW) and London (LON). It's the beginning of the high season down there, you know ... summer, so fares to Latin America are often higher.
